Adapting workforce mindsets for AI integration
Artificial intelligence is radically transforming modern workforce management and higher education. We spoke with CODE University co-founder Manuel Dolderer about adapting to this technological shift and empowering employees.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping not just industry, but the very foundations of how we prepare people for the future of work. Dr. Federico Winer speaks with Manuel Dolderer, co-founder and long-time president of CODE University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, about what higher education needs to become in the age of AI.
Rethinking Higher Education for the AI Age
Artificial intelligence is reshaping not just industry, but the very foundations of how we prepare people for the future of work. Dr. Federico Winer speaks with Manuel Dolderer, co-founder and long-time president of CODE University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, about what higher education needs to become in the age of AI.
Europe’s Position in the AI Race
The conversation also turns to a wider risk: as universities and companies adopt AI into their core processes, they can become quietly dependent on American or Chinese providers. Dolderer’s proposed response is twofold, building a genuinely competitive European frontier model (even if not top-tier, one shaped by European rules and culture), and running a continent-wide programme to help small and mid-sized companies become AI-ready, from staff training to security.
Purpose Before Technology
Across both curriculum and continental strategy, Dolderer’s argument stays consistent: adopting AI without rethinking purpose and mindset is a missed opportunity. The institutions and organisations that get this right will be the ones that use the moment to ask harder questions about what they’re actually preparing people for.
