The Challenge
Soudal, Europe’s largest producer of mastics, adhesives, and PU foams, operates across 14 production sites with over 50 sales offices worldwide. The company’s rapid growth brought increased security challenges, especially concerning access control, time registration, and compliance with Seveso safety legislation.
Previously, manual absence tracking was used, integrated with payroll systems. However, with a new factory in Turnhout (BE) required to meet stringent Seveso safety regulations, this method became insufficient. With strict Seveso legislation imposing advanced safety requirements, Soudal’s manual tracking methods no longer met the latest compliance standards, requiring an automated and real-time security solution. Soudal needed an automated, efficient, and scalable security solution that would enhance compliance and employee safety without disrupting daily operations.

The Solution
Primion provided a fully integrated system, improving workforce management and site security through:
- Time & Attendance Management: Real-time tracking for over 2,500 employees, including a self-service portal, team occupancy overview, and seamless integration with Soudal’s payroll systems. The system integrates seamlessly with payroll (eBlox from SDWorx), enabling automated reporting on work hours, absences, and key workforce performance metrics.
- Access Control & Visitor Registration: A 16-language touchscreen kiosk for drivers and visitors, ensuring fast, efficient entry by capturing transport details, SAP references, and license plates. VIP guests receive special badge-controlled access.
- Evacuation & Emergency Automation: Evacuation is fully automated with badge-based attendance tracking at evacuation columns. Supervisors receive real-time evacuation reports, ensuring full compliance with Seveso safety protocols.
